Thank You for an Incredible Alumni Weekend

Looking Ahead, Staying Connected

Gratitude and Goodbyes (For Now)

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate 40 years of New Paltz Rugby this past weekend. Despite the rain washing out Sunday’s BBQ, everything else, from Friday’s golf and P&G’s social to Saturday’s alumni games and banquet, went off without a hitch.

It was incredible to see generations of Hawks side by side again, sharing stories, shaking off rust, and lifting a glass in celebration of this growing rugby community.

To Our Graduating Seniors

To the seniors who’ve just played their final game in a Hawks jersey -congratulations. The next chapter may feel uncertain, but you're never far from support. Our alumni network is filled with people who remember what it's like to step off campus and into the unknown.

If you're looking for career guidance, connections, or even just someone to help talk through it all, reach out. We're here for you.

If you’re an alumni and are interested in chatting with a senior about post-grad life, read through the list below and let us know who you would like to be put in touch with. So far, three alumni have reached out about potential jobs and networking opportunities, including a job offer last Saturday. Let’s build on that energy.

A Quick Fix with Big Impact

Take a look at this photo of the men’s team, current and alumni, after the game. See that broken crossbar in the background?

It’s honestly a little embarrassing, but more importantly it’s an easy fix. If a few of us chip in, we can fund and install a proper set of rugby posts that reflect the pride and quality of this program.

A small lift from many successful alumni could make a huge difference in the players’ weekly experience. Let’s take care of it.

Interested in a Summer Meetup?

We’re thinking about organizing a summer get-together if there’s enough interest. Let us know if that sounds like something you’d attend. The winter 6 Nations Manhattan meetup was a success and we’d love to keep the energy going.

Thanks again for making Alumni Weekend such a memorable one.

Go Hawks. Always.
